A new report from the Centre for Cities has identified that house prices in Cambridge are now the third-highest in the country, at an average of £362,800 last year.  More interesting is that values had risen more quickly in percentage terms than in any other UK city, including London, during 2013.  Worryingly, house prices are now 12 times average earnings despite wages in Cambridge being the sixth-highest in the UK with an average weekly wage of £556.  Read more in this Cambridge News article.
